About

It all hit home during a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. An exhibit highlighted a brutal truth: the ready-to-wear clothing industry, booming globally, was originally built to outfit slaves. Before the 17th century, off-the-rack clothes were a military thing only. Fast forward to now, and the industry that stands on the backs of our ancestors barely has any representation or ownership from Africans or African Americans. After a decade working with some of the biggest names in fashion, this glaring disparity lit a fire. And from those flames, the House of Reparations was born.

Streetwear has journeyed from the gritty NYC gangs of the '70s to today's billion-dollar corporate playgrounds, celebrity designers, and Fortune 500 brand hookups.

House of Reparations is here to reclaim that raw, authentic street voice. Our collections are loud, proud, and unapologetic, paying tribute to the warriors who fought, sacrificed, and laid down their lives for justice. We’re here to inspire a generation to be active, bold, and relentless in the pursuit of justice, equity, and freedom.
